In 2008, Rob Halverson had been doing surgery on lots of electronic toys and cheap keyboards. The act of putting connections in where they should not be is called "Circuit Bending." It causes these little synths to make sounds that god never intended them to make.

Another thing that happened in Rob's life was that he had bought an ancient wire recorder. Before there was magnetic tape, there was recording onto metal wire. Several reels of wire from the early 20th century came with this machine. We have no idea who the people are in these recordings.

The voice of the grumpy man on the answering machine was left on our friend Patrick's phone. No idea who this fowl mouthed curmudgeon is.

I felt like playing some beats on drums. I just don't do that much anymore, but it used to be all I did. So we made this little gem chock-full of fat beats and groves for your house cleaning or meth bender pleasure. Maybe an LSD or mushroom bender would be healthier. I must mention that it is inspired by a Brian Eno record called Nerve Net. You might like that too.

This record came out on CD only in 2008. Maybe a hundred copies. I am proud of it and so proud to post it on Bandcamp.

Deep, mind-bending psych. I don't know how it was put together, but it feels very organic, like early Nurse With Wound. I could see Gordon, Dilloway, and Nace sitting among a pile of junk and miles of tape, splicing together this album piece by piece. Levrikon
